While i was in the toilet...
I came up with a hypothesis:
When a thin person and a fat person falls off a bike, the fat person will suffer more injuries.By conventional wisdom, a thin person will seem weak and fragile, and therefore when they fall off they will break more bones.
however...
based on F=ma... with the same acceleration, the one with the bigger mass should have more force exerted on him, therefore
more pain inflicted.
BUT.
james disagrees with my hypothesis. (and i'm pretty surprise with his sudden knowledge..)
the fall do not only depend on mass, there is the surface area of the person that we have to take into account to, so the fatter one with
bigger mass will have the force spread across a larger area, thus... conventional wisdom might just be right.
well, i tried to rebutt saying that "but according to
my explanantion, its no wonder that small tiny little mini
ants do not die when they fall off trees."
"but my dear, it doesnt matter, when they fall... they
fall to pieces. you cant even see where they've gone to"
well, thats more logical than saying that
the sky is blue due to the reflection of the sea. way to go!
